What Stays on Your Device

The letters you type into the solver, any screenshot you upload, and every board the Board Evolver builds are processed in your browser. They are never sent to our server. To make this work, your browser downloads our word list from our site.

Information We Collect

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people use the site. When analytics is allowed, it records things like the pages you visit, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, your general location (such as country or city), and how you found us, such as a search engine or an AI assistant. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We use this information only in combined reports. It does not include the letters you type or the screenshots you upload.

Contact Form

If you send us a message, we receive the name, email address, and message you enter. The form is delivered through Web3Forms, a form service that passes your message to our email inbox.

Server Logs

Like most websites, our hosting provider, Hostinger, may automatically record basic technical details when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, and the time of your visit. These logs help keep the site secure and working.

The Google Analytics cookies are only set if analytics is allowed. In the UK, EEA, and Switzerland, that means only after you choose Accept. The three browser storage items stay on your device and are not sent to us.

Your Cookie Choices

If you visit from the UK, the European Economic Area, or Switzerland, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Google Analytics stays off unless you choose Accept, and choosing Reject keeps it off. You can change your choice at any time with the Cookie Settings link at the bottom of every page. Visitors from other regions do not see the banner, and analytics runs by default. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt out add on.

How We Use Information

We use analytics to see which pages help people, find problems, and improve the tools. We use contact messages only to reply to you. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not show ads.

Who We Share Information With

We share information only with the services that run the site: Google (analytics), Web3Forms (contact form), and Hostinger (hosting). We may also share information if the law requires it. Google explains its data use practices for sites like ours.

How Long We Keep Information

Google Analytics keeps event data for the retention period set in our account, which is either 2 or 14 months. Contact messages are kept only as long as needed to answer them.

Legal Basis for Visitors in the UK and EEA

We use analytics cookies only with your consent. We process contact messages to answer your request, and server logs for our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.

Your Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to object to how we use it. If you are in the UK, you can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office. To make a request, use our contact page.

Children's Privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child under 13 has sent us personal information through our contact form, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
